NES was founded in 1988 by two individuals with a shared vision based on different professional backgrounds: one environmental and the other health & safety. The company began as a training provider but soon discovered the synergy created by offering a combination of training and consulting services. This has been the key to the success and growth of our professional firm. Even today our professionals are expected to be capable of providing or supporting either consulting services or training for one or more of our EH&S classes.
NES is headquartered in Folsom, California with two regional training centers located in Folsom and Pleasant Hill, California. Consulting services are principally provided within California to both the private and public sectors. NES provides the full range of health & safety consulting services but remains specialized in the environmental field, assisting clients faced with regulatory compliance issues. Training is provided in both health & safety and environmental topics. Most of our students are based in California except for our law enforcement students, which are from around the globe.
NES is recognized by law enforcement as the leading global provider of clandestine drug lab safety training, holding long-term contracts with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, National Guard Counterdrug Training Centers, and most major state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the U.S. NES has trained law enforcement officers from many different countries including the UK, Taiwan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Netherlands to name a few. Several of our health & safety as well as environmental professionals are actively involved in this specialized and fascinating training field.
