Mid-Level Industrial Hygienist

NES, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Industrial Hygienist with 5-10 years of field IH experience. Candidates must have the following experience: minimum of 5 years of field IH sampling, H&S program development, familiar with OSHA regulations, excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated, and dependable; team oriented and maintain a professional appearance. Position requires BS degree, and either the DOSH Asbestos Site Surveillance Technician (SST) or Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) credentials a plus.

Position requires a solid background in industrial hygiene sampling methods, and technical report writing. Travel and clean driving record required.

Requirements: We are looking for a mid-level IH Professional with 5-10 years of experience in health and safety programs such as:

• Industrial hygiene monitoring: IAQ, Mold, Asbestos, Lead, Noise, etc.
• Program development including: IIPP, HazCom, Chemical Safety, Compliance Plans, etc.
• Knowledge of Environmental Regulatory Programs

Technical Responsibilities include:

• Understanding of environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements, specifically Cal/OSHA standards.
• Creating/delivering environmental, health and safety training.
• Conducting regulatory compliance audits.
• Responding to indoor air quality complaints and providing recommendations.
• Developing health & safety plans for HazWoper project.
• Industry experience within high technology industries, specifically electronics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or chemical environments, is desired.

Business Development Responsibilities will include:

• Participate with NES’ senior consulting team in developing new leads, expanding existing markets, servicing existing clients, and bid work.
• Attend professional meetings, seminars, and conferences to create new consulting opportunities.

Position also requires:

• Solid industrial hygiene sampling background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid science back ground.
• Ability to plan and implement multiple projects.
• Professional Certifications, such as Lead, are a plus.
