Jerry Bucklin is President and CEO of NES. He is past chairman for the Association of Official Analytical Chemists Annual International Waste Disposal Symposium. He has instructed over 45,000 law enforcement representatives from 10 different countries and has taught selected courses in hazardous material/waste management at five University of California Campuses, including UC Davis, since 1986. He has taught the Clandestine Laboratory Safety Certification program for DEA since 1988. He has traveled to Canada and the U.S. Embassy in Jamaica to instruct on Clan Labs and Environmental Management Issues. He has spoken at numerous international law enforcement conferences on the hazards of clandestine laboratories and has been a plenary and keynote speaker at national conferences since 2005. Mr. Bucklin is a past California Certified Compliance School Instructor for the programs coordinated by DTSC. He served on the Sacramento chapter steering committee for the California Hazardous Waste Association. He was selected for the Outstanding University Extension Teacher Award for UC Davis in 1991 and served on the UC Davis Advisory Board for the Environmental Auditing Certificate Program and the Hazardous Material Certificate Program. He has extensive knowledge of hazardous materials/waste management operations as well as environmental compliance and transportation regulations. Mr. Bucklin has direct field experience in emergency response, chemical handling, environmental auditing, transportation and regulatory compliance. He currently provides hazardous waste management courses throughout California for various companies and trade associations.
Donald Rothenbaum is a Senior Vice President and Principal Trainer for NES. He is an environmental engineer and a Registered Environmental Assessor and Certified Professional Environmental Auditor. Mr. Rothenbaum has 26 years of environmental experience in government, industry and consulting. His experience includes: water quality enforcement and permitting; municipal and industrial stormwater management; hazardous waste site remediation and emergency response; remedial investigation and feasibility studies; environmental compliance and management system audits; environmental planning (impact assessment and reporting); hazardous waste facility closures; EH&S permitting; and development of EH&S programs and environmental management systems. He teaches various courses through the University of California Davis Extension and is a member of the UC Davis Extension Advisory Board for Environmental Management and Auditing and the Regional Environmental Business Resource Center Advisory Board. Mr. Rothenbaum has trained environmental professionals on regulatory compliance topics, environmental auditing, and environmental management principles through the UC Extension system and for several Fortune-500 companies.
Director, EH&S Services. Mr. Boll is a State of California, Registered Environmental Assessor, and a Board Certified Environmental Auditor, with over 25 years of experience. Mr. Boll is responsible for developing and managing key client accounts, developing business opportunities, providing quality assurance and quality control oversight on EH&S projects, and mentoring professional staff of environmental scientists and engineers.
