This course is for personnel working clandestine drug laboratories with emphasis on meth labs. It covers the meth production, chemical and physical hazards, hazard evaluation, protective clothing, respiratory
protection and other related topics. These topics are reinforced with the instructors experience and knowledge and many hands–on exercises. It is equivalent to the training NES provides to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and directly for state and local law enforcement agencies around the United States. Students receive the Operations and Safety Field Guide (Blue Book) and the First Responder Field Guide (Yellow Book).

OSHA Compliance: This course satisfies the OSHA training requirements under 29 CFR 1910.120 and 8 CCR 5192 for Basic Clandestine Laboratory Safety Training.
