Overview
NES has produced this online refresher course to provide a learning experience that lets you pick the time and place to complete the coursework required to maintain HAZWOPER compliance. Hazardous waste site employees and supervisors must receive an annual refresher; our web-based course is the most convenient way to go! When taking the course, the software remembers what sections you've taken and picks up where you left off. Once you have signed up you will have 60 days to complete your course. Once completed, you will be able to come back any time to access your certificate.
Maintaining Compliance
8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher training is intended to be completed annually following initial (40-/24-hour) HAZWOPER training or prior HAZWOPER refresher training. NOTE: workers not completing a refresher after one year following initial or refresher HAZWOPER training are not permitted to work at a qualified site, and Cal/OSHA requires completion of a refresher within 24 months to avoid having to re-take 40-/24-Hour HAZWOPER training; federal OSHA has set no explicit such time frame.
