HAZWOPER Management & Supervisor

The HAZWOPER Management and Supervisor course trains supervisors overseeing hazardous waste operations by reviewing regulations, training topics, field safety skills, and OSHA regulatory requirements affecting supervisor responsibilities. This course covers supervisor responsibilities, safety management, site safety plans, accident investigation, job hazard analysis, regulations, safety meetings, site emergency response actions, personal protective equipment, respiratory protection, and emergency response procedures. The course includes classroom instruction, training exercises, a course manual, and a certificate of completion at the end of the course. The course satisfies the eight hours of specialized training required for supervisors of hazardous waste workers.

First Responder Operations

This live webinar is a safety-focused operations training, designed to help you train your team from anywhere. This eight-hour course is designed to help your employees understand the defensive techniques they can use to contain and control a chemical release. With an included course materials download link and a certificate of completion once the course is completed, your team will have the resources and knowledge available to help them better assess and respond to chemical spills on the job. Cal/OSHA 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher

Refresh your team’s knowledge and skills and keep them in compliance with this annual refresher course designed specifically for employees working in California. This course is updated annually and covers regulatory changes, usage of the Emergency Response Guidebook, personal protective equipment trends, chemical hazard classification, field safety, emergency response operations, respiratory protection, and revised hazard assessment techniques. Included with this course is a manual to use as a resource, and a certificate of completion. As an additional offering with this course, employees who are medically evaluated, have presented a physician’s written consent, and bring their personal respirator can receive a qualitative fit test for free. This test meets the annual fit testing requirement. This refresher course helps to keep your business on track.

16-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) Supplemental

This course will provide your team with the opportunity to earn a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate by supplementing the 24-hour HAZWOPER course (described below) in an effort to fulfill the 40-Hour HAZWOPER training requirement standard. Topics covered in this course include air monitoring, respiratory protection, site control, sampling, field-specific operations, and field exercises that incorporate the use of personal protective equipment, monitoring, sampling, and decon practices. This course provides students with a resource manual and, upon completion, a certificate. This course will also offer a free-of-charge qualitative fit test for those individuals who bring a physician’s written consent, a personal respirator, and are medically evaluated.

24-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER)

This course is for occasional hazardous waste site workers working at fully characterized and monitored sites where exposure above established thresholds is not expected and air monitoring or use of respirators is not required. This class covers chemical and physical hazard recognition, hazard controls, selection of personal protective equipment, site control, and decontamination. Included with this course is a resource manual for student understanding and knowledge, as well as a certificate of completion. This course will help to prepare students for performing limited hazardous waste remediation and cleanup operations, and is not a for full-time hazardous waste site workers.

40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER)

This course is designed for team members seeking to satisfy the 29 CFR 1910.120 and 8 CCR 5192 training regulations. The course topics covered include chemical physical hazard recognition, hazard controls, selection of personal protective equipment, air monitoring respiratory protection, site control, decontamination, drum handling, trenching, excavation, and emergency response. The instruction will also include physical exercises, which incorporate the use of personal protective equipment, monitoring, sampling, and decon. With this course, students will receive a resource manual and a certificate of completion once the course is over. As with the other HAZWOPER classes, any individuals who brings their personal respirator, a physician’s written consent, and have been medically evaluated may receive a qualitative fit test for free.
