Overview:
This two-day hazardous waste management compliance course is our most thorough hazardous waste management program and provides an in-depth understanding of fundamental California, and applicable federal, hazardous waste management requirements for small and large quantity generators. The course will cover determining your generator status, recordkeeping and general management requirements, EPA’s e-Manifest system (implemented June 30, 2018), hazardous waste identification and classification, facility standards, container and tank management, land disposal restrictions, tiered permitting, California’s waste minimization program (SB 14), the Unified Program, and an overview of DOT regulations affecting hazardous waste shipments for generators in California. Annual hazardous waste management training is required for large quantity generator personnel to maintain certification. Students will receive a course manual and certificate of completion.

Objectives:
This course provides a thorough understanding of key California and federal hazardous waste management regulations for employees in need of more advanced hazardous waste instruction than is included in the one-day Hazardous Waste Management training program.

This course is a must if you generate, handle, transport, store, treat, or dispose of hazardous wastes in California and is intended for employees and supervisors responsible for hazardous waste management at both large quantity and small quantity generator sites.
