Overview:
The course covers the completion, retention, and distribution of the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest (manifest) for EPA’s e-Manifest system for both federal (RCRA) and California (non-RCRA) hazardous waste shipments. The program meets the function-specific training requirements for shipping papers as listed in 49 CFR 172.704* and supplements hazardous waste training requirements (for those who complete and/or sign the manifest).
Each student will receive a course materials download link prior to the webinar and a certificate of completion following the training. For those who will be pre-paying for the course (by paying through this website or arranging advance payment with the NES registrar) and would like hard copies of course materials mailed to you, please contact us at registrar@nesglobal.net or 800-637-2384. Please request materials far enough in advance to allow sufficient time for preparation and delivery.
Objectives:
The course fulfills the function-specific training needed to comply with 49 CFR 172.704* for employees who prepare and ship hazardous waste by commercial carriers.
Who Should Attend:
This training program is strongly recommended for personnel who are responsible for preparing or signing manifests.
*To comply with DOT regulatory requirements, participants must have completed DOT Hazmat Employee training in conjunction with function-specific training such as this Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest program. Further, this training does not satisfy hazardous waste management training for small or large quantity generators. Therefore, it is recommended that participants complete their initial DOT Hazmat Employee training before enrolling in this course, and participants are also encouraged to complete a Hazardous Waste Management training course prior to attending this program.
