This program covers the hazards that law enforcement personnel may encounter when working in and around cannabis cultivation, extraction, and processing operations. Training covers investigative techniques and operations, chemical and physical hazards (fertilizers, electricity, mold, etc.), the PPE and techniques necessary during response and dismantling, and proper disposal procedures. These topics are reinforced with hands-on practical exercises.
NOTE: This course does not provide OSHA-required (HAZWOPER) training for dismantling cannabis operations sites.

Classes run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily with a break for lunch and additional short breaks at the instructor’s discretion.
Objective: Prepare law enforcement personnel to safely respond to and assess cannabis cultivation, extraction, and processing operations Target Personnel: Law enforcement, state parks employees, Forest Service agents, and other personnel who are involved in entering, assessing, and/or dismantling cannabis cultivation, extraction, and processing sites Prerequisites: None Overview: This program covers the hazards that law enforcement personnel may encounter when working in and around cannabis cultivation, extraction, and processing operations. Training covers investigative techniques and operations, chemical and physical hazards (fertilizers, electricity, mold, etc.), the PPE and techniques necessary during response and dismantling, and proper disposal procedures. NOTE: This course is designed to meet OSHA HAZWOPER Standard (1910.120(q)(6)(i)) and does not provide OSHA-required (HAZWOPER – 1920.120(q)(6)(iii)) training for dismantling cannabis operations sites.
